We are honored to have Mr Wai Lwin Than, Consul-General of the Union of Myanmar to give us a talk on “Myanmar: Recent Economic Changes and Investment Opportunities”. As you have been aware of, Myanmar has opened up a new era of proper democratization and market economic system under the new government since last year. The significant progress on the political and economic reform programs have earned international recognition resulting in the relaxation of sanction imposed by western countries. Many international assistance including Japanese ODA, the World Bank, and IMF are now on the way.
